What is MagSafe?

MagSafe is a technology created by Apple that lets you magnetically attach smartphone accessories to your iPhone. Popular MagSafe accessories include phone cases, power banks, video lights and phone holders.

The latest iPhone models (from the iPhone 12 onwards) and MagSafe accessories contain a circular magnet, allowing them to snap together securely. Using NFC, your smartphone recognises other certified Apple products. You'll notice this from the animation that appears as soon as you connect a MagSafe charger.
