Just treated yourself to a new iPhone, or has your old charger finally stopped working? Then you're probably looking for a new iPhone charger. Without one, your phone isn't much use. Since new iPhones no longer come with a charger in the box, you'll need to buy one separately. iPhone chargers come in many different shapes and sizes, and it's important to get the right one for your device. You can find many cheap iPhone chargers online, and while they will probably work, they often can't provide enough power to charge your iPhone quickly. This will result in your iPhone charging very slowly, which is something nobody wants.
A recent EU regulation means that all new electronic devices must have a USB-C connection. This rule also applies to new iPhones, so from the iPhone 15 onwards, they will all feature a USB-C port and can be charged with a USB-C charger. This is a big step forward for users, as it allows you to charge nearly all of your devices with just one cable. This means you no longer need a drawer full of different cables to keep all your gadgets powered up. In theory, one cable is enough. However, it can be useful to charge multiple devices at the same time, which would require more than one cable. That's where iPhone chargers with multiple ports are very handy, allowing you to charge an iPhone and an iPad at once.
To charge your iPhone from a wall socket, you need two things: a power adapter and a cable. The power adapter is the part that plugs into the wall and makes the electricity safe for your phone. This adapter has a connection port, which on modern iPhone chargers is almost always a USB-C port. This is because USB-C can support faster charging speeds. For example, the MOJOGEAR Charge+ can deliver 45W through its USB-C port, which is enough to fast charge any iPhone.
It's also possible to charge your iPhone without a wall plug. For instance, you can use a power bank, for which you'll only need a cable. However, most power banks can't achieve the same high speeds as a dedicated iPhone charger. You can also charge your iPhone using other devices. If you have an iPad, for example, you can often use its battery to give your phone a power boost.
When you want to buy a new iPhone charger, there are a few important things to pay attention to. The key factor is the amount of wattage (W) the charger can deliver. For example, some chargers only offer 15 watts of power. This would charge an iPhone 15 Pro Max very slowly, which is not what you want. If you're looking for a charger that will always provide enough power for your iPhone, you should generally buy one that can deliver 30W or more. This is quite different for Android phones, as some can charge with over 100W.
Besides the power output, the number of ports is also important to consider. For instance, if you only have one available wall socket but need to charge multiple devices at the same time, having multiple ports is very convenient. Finally, you need to check the connection on your phone as well as the connection on the charger. Some chargers, for example, only have a USB-C connection. If you have a USB to Lightning cable for your phone, it won't fit your charger, and you'll have to buy a new cable. Fortunately, most modern cables and chargers have a USB-C connection. The MOJOGEAR Charge+ iPhone charger has both a USB-A and a USB-C connection, though the USB-A port provides much less power than the USB-C ports.
iPhone chargers come in many different formats and shapes. You have standard adapters, USB hubs, wireless chargers, and many more. At MOJOGEAR, we currently have two types of iPhone chargers. Both are chargers with multiple ports.
The MOJOGEAR Charge+ can deliver 65W of power. With this Apple fast charger, you can charge your phone in no time. This is more than enough for all iPhone models, making this charger a solid choice if you just want to charge your iPhone. It can even provide enough power to fast charge multiple iPhones. In addition, this charger can also power most iPads and MacBooks. However, the newer MacBooks often need more power than this charger can provide. That's why we also have a 140W charger. The MOJOGEAR Charge+ iPhone charger has 2 USB-C ports and 1 USB-A port.
The MOJOGEAR Charge+ can deliver 140W of power. With this Apple fast charger, you can fast charge almost all Apple devices. The latest MacBook Pro, for example, requires 140W to charge quickly. Of course, you can also use this charger simply as an iPhone charger. For instance, you could charge a MacBook and an iPhone at the same time at their optimal speed. This iPhone charger has 3 USB-C ports and 1 USB-A port. With this, you could even charge 4 iPhones at the same time.

Want to use your charger to get your iPhone powered up quickly? Then you'll need an iPhone fast charger. Different iPhone models require different wattages to charge at full speed. For example, the iPhone 15 Pro Max can fast charge with 27W, but the iPhone 12 can only handle 20W. Many standard chargers provide around 20W, which means they are not fast chargers for the iPhone 15 Pro Max. If you want a fast charger for your iPhone 15 Pro Max, you'll need one that can deliver 27W or more. The MOJOGEAR Charge+ can deliver 65W, which means you can even fast charge two iPhone 15 Pro Max phones at the same time.
As long as the charger can provide the correct wattage, you don't need an original Apple charger. This means you can also buy chargers that are not made by Apple. Apple charges a lot for their original chargers, so buying a charger from another brand can save you a fair bit of money.
An iPhone charger is considered a fast charger when it can provide enough wattage for the phone to charge as quickly as possible. This varies by iPhone model, as newer iPhones require higher wattages than older models. For example, an iPhone 14 Pro Max can charge with 27W, but an iPhone 14 can only charge with 20W. For a complete overview of all iPhone models and their required wattages, please see the table above. Please note: From the iPhone 15 onwards, Apple has also included a USB-C port on all iPhones, so your old Lightning cables will no longer work for these models.
